Use the Generac 6212 Air Cooled Standby Generator Cold Weather Kit to get your equipment ready for winter.
This kit includes the battery heater, oil filter heater, and the complete wiring harness. It is intended for use with 8kW-20kW series residential automatic standby generators. This kit is recommended for generators installed in regions where the temperature regularly falls below 32 degrees Fahrenheit. When the temperature drops below an acceptable level, the thermostat activates the crankcase oil heater and battery warmer in order to maintain optimum battery temperature.
Please note, when installing a cold weather kit, it is required that the oil and filter be replaced with 5W-30 synthetic and Generac OEM oil filter for better engine start capability. Keep your generator ready when winter comes with the Generac 6212 Air Cooled Standby Generator Cold Weather Kit.
