This single wire 4 PSI switch has been discontinued for many years. It was heavily used in older RV models. While Generac does not sell 4 PSI switches anymore, an alternative would be to use the Generac G099236 Oil Pressure Switch 8 PSI Single Wire . The G099236 Oil Pressure Switch sharess the same thread, pitch, and wiring as the 4 PSI, so it will easily install without modification.
On healthy engines, you will have enough oil pressure for the 8 PSI switch to work. If your engine is producing between 4 PSI - 7.9 PSI, which is very rare, this retrofit will NOT work. We cannot take oil pressure sensors back once they are installed, so please use a mechanical oil pressure gauge to validate the health of the engine before purchasing the 8 PSI switch.
